Short CV
Luis Rey is graduated in Economics at the University of Navarra and has a Msc in Economics and Finance from the same university. He was a teaching assistant at the University of Navarra for undergraduates’ students (Mathematics and World Economics).
He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in Florence (Italy). His doctoral dissertation was conducted under the direction of Prof. Rick van der Ploeg, and looks at the optimal management of natural resources in resource-rich countries.
He worked in the consultancy company, Naider, as an economic analyst, involved in the area of energy and environment. During May 2011 and November 2012, he has worked in the research the research center, Economics for Energy, in Vigo (Spain).
He is a macroeconomist and his work is focused in energy economics, international economics and natural resources economics.
